Would You Bet On You?

If you don't, no one will ...

Imagine you’re in Las Vegas.

You’re walking down the Vegas strip, taking in all the sights and sounds. You decide to head into one of the many casinos.
As you walk in, you see people gambling with their money as they play poker, blackjack, roulette, slot machines, and more.
You keep walking and head to the area where people bet on sporting events.
You look up at a giant video screen and see all the events you can bet on – basketball, boxing, horse racing, soccer, you name it. Also on the screen are the odds for who’s going to win each event.
Then, something grabs your attention.
Among all the games and events you can bet on, you notice your name. People are betting on you. They’re betting on whether you’ll accomplish what you say is most important to you.
If you were a betting man or woman, would you bet on you? [Tweet This]
Would you bet on you doing what’s required to accomplish your mission and goals in life?
Would the odds be in your favor or against you?
Now, let’s take this a step further.
Would you allow your dear family and friends to bet their last dollars on you doing all that it takes to make your dreams come true?
For the bookies in Las Vegas, your odds are very easy to determine. All they need to do is evaluate what you did yesterday…the week before that…the month before that, etc. This is your track record.
Based on this, are the odds in your favor or against you?
Here’s some tough truth to swallow:

No one cares more about your life and what you want to accomplish more than you do.

Sure, your family, friends, mom, dad, colleagues, boyfriend, girlfriend, and grandma all care. But they can’t care more than you do.
What would it take for you to willingly bet everything on you? [Tweet This]
Whether you know it or not, you are betting everything on yourself every single day with the effort you do (or do not) put forward.
You get one shot. Are you gambling away your time or making every moment count?
After all, you know that you have potential. And you also know that potential serves no purpose if you don’t take action and follow through.

So, would you bet on you?

Would you bet on you staying committed when the newness of your project wears off?
Would you bet on you staying disciplined even when no one is watching or paying attention to your work?
Would you bet on you on following through and delivering on what you say you’re going to do?
What you bet on you spending time with allies who propel you forward instead of thieves who threaten to waste your time and energy?
Would you bet on you even when things aren’t going your way?
Would you bet on you remaining a person of integrity and strong character, no matter what happens?
Would you bet on you taking that first step today? And then another tomorrow?
Well, would you?
